About Stride Masters Track & Field

Our Mission

 

Stride Masters is a not-for-profit track and field program dedicated to developing young athletes aged 7 to 19 in body, mind, and character. We go beyond the track, using the sport as a vehicle to teach essential life lessons in teamwork, discipline, perseverance, and sportsmanship.

Our philosophy balances a strong work ethic with a safe, fun, and rewarding experience. Through focused practices of 1.5 to 2 hours, we build a solid athletic foundation in fundamentals, speed, strength, and endurance, empowering our athletes for success both on and off the track.

Our practices are held at local orange county outdoor tracks, Indoor facilities and Cross Country Trails.

Coaching Philosophy

 While track & field largely focuses on individual performance, our coaching goes beyond the stopwatch. We are dedicated to unlocking the potential in every athlete by creating a positive and enjoyable environment where they can thrive.

We champion the journey of every individual from the aspiring national champion to the newcomer aiming to make friends or develop fitness. We measure success not just by medals, but by the personal growth, confidence, and joy each athlete finds in our program.

A Season for Every Goal

Our year is structured into three distinct competitive seasons, each with a unique training focus to develop well-rounded athletes. 


Cross Country (XC): Builds a powerful endurance base through aerobic training, complemented by anaerobic workouts for strength and speed.


Indoor Track: Focuses intensely on developing raw speed, power, and explosive strength in a controlled environment.


Spring Track (Outdoor): The culmination of our training, this season integrates all elements, endurance, speed, and strength for peak performance.


Track Events


Sprints: Short, fast races, including the 100m, 200m, and 400m dashes.

Middle-distance: 800m and 1500m run.

Long-distance: 5,000m and 10,000m.

Hurdles: 100m (women) and 110m(men), and the 400m.

Racewalk: 1500m or 3000m

Relays:  4x100m, 4x400m, and 4x800m.
