Cross Country (XC)

What to Expect

  •  Terrain: XC is run on "scenic territory" like golf courses and parks with hills; track is on a flat.


  • Distance: Youth XC races are typically 1.5 to 3 miles (2k to 5k)


  • Scoring: In XC, place matters more than time; your team's score is based on where the top five runners finish.
